Providing excellent training in the fine arts.

Acting as an outreach platform for FUMC.
It is our desire to provide the best in fine arts instruction to both students and Adults. We are dedicated to creating an atmosphere where students and Adults can learn fine arts, grow spiritually and use their talents to glorify our Creator.
Enrollment and Instruction
Private study is offered in piano, voice, guitar, trumpet, clarinet and violin. The lessons are offered on a weekly basis in 30 minute blocks. Advanced lessons are available with permission from the instructor and Academy director. These lessons are 45 minutes and will have an additional cost. Group Lessons are offered in music appreciation/theory, voice, piano, and guitar
Registration and Policies
To begin the enrollment process, new students must contact the director, complete a registration form and enrollment agreement, and submit them with the first month’s tuition on or before the registration deadline. When a student is enrolled, he/she is committing to an entire semester of study. Also if the deadline is missed you may still take lessons. Your semester rate will then be pro-rated for the number of lessons left in the semester .
Tuition
A 35.00 registration fee is due before lessons begin each fall. The registration fee covers the cost of recitals and various other administrative activities. This fee is in addition to the monthly tuition and becomes non-refundable on August 1st.
Tuition is $800 for private lessons and $450 for group lessons for the year and includes 16 lessons in the fall term and 16 lessons in the Spring term. This total may be paid over 9 monthly payments .This is more of a convenience for parents and does not represent how many lessons are taught each month. Our policy is that we ask each student to commit to one semester. Summer tuition is $125.00 for 5 lessons, payable in full by June 1.
Lessons & Scheduling
To provide consistency and an atmosphere conducive to learning, all Academy lessons are taught at FUMC of Coppell. No exceptions. During the enrollment process, each student will be assigned an instructor based on ability and schedule. The student or parent of the student will then be contacted to confirm a convenient lesson or class time. Once a lesson time is established, it is important that the student continue through the semester with that time.
Make Up Policy
We consider your private lesson time as a standing appointment. If the teacher has to miss a lesson, it will be made up. If the student misses a lesson, PRIOR NOTICE IS REQUIRED. Twenty-four hour notice is preferable. However, if a student wakes up ill on a lesson morning, please call the instructor before 9:00 a.m. With proper prior notice, the teacher will make up ONE lesson per student per semester.
