Project Transformation: Reading Volunteers and Supply Donations Needed

Project Transformation (PT) is a ministry of the United Methodist Church, which provides both after-school and summer programs in underserved communities. Here are ways to support PT this summer:

Volunteer to read one-on-one with children during our two reading weeks at Chapel Hill UMC in Farmers Branch from 9:30 a.m. to noon, June 19-22 and June 26-29. Meet daily at FUMC Coppell at 8:45 a.m. to carpool and arrive at Chapel Hill by 9:15 a.m. Sign up: http://ow.ly/wspv30bcDpE Need 12-15 volunteers each day. Volunteers must be at least 13 years old, and those 18 and older must up have completed the MinistrySafe online training. Find info at fumccoppell.org/resources/ministrysafe

Donation boxes will be set up in Wesley Hall during May and June. Supplies needed: General Supplies: Black Sharpies, Black Ball Point Pens, Pencils, Colored Pencils. Markers, Crayons, Masking Tape, Scotch Tape, Glue Sticks, Scissors, Craft Paint, Paint Brushes, Construction Paper, Notebook Paper, Pocket Folders, Spiral Notebooks, Manilla Folders, Index Cards, Butcher Paper (Various Colors) Sports Supplies: Soccer Balls, Rubber balls, Basketballs, Hoola Hoops, Jump Ropes, Cones, Bases (for kickball), Floor Tape
