Children’s Ministries

At First United Methodist Church we believe in upholding children as sacred gifts from God. We teach children that Christ calls all of us, no matter how old we are, to serve others in God’s love.

Below are a few of the Children’s Ministry annual events.  We look forward to seeing you at these events, either as a participant or volunteer or both!
Children’s/Stringfellow Sunday – Sunday, April 23.  An annual national day of advocacy for children that FUMC Coppell highlights.

VBS and Summer Camps – See more below!

Created by God – Fall 2017.  This important seminar for 5th and 6th graders will focus on God’s gift of human sexuality from a Christian perspective. “Created by God” deals in a thorough way with the basics of growth and sexual development.

Family Advent Adventure – Sunday, December 3, 9:40 a.m.-noon. This intergenerational hands-on experience allows participants to come immerse themselves in preparing for Christ’s birth.

Christmas Eve Pageant – On December 24, at our 4 p.m. Christmas Eve service, all children Kindergarten-5th grade are invited to participate with traditional costumes for all, we share the story of the birth of the Christ child through music, Scripture and song. This simple service is a perfect way to prepare our children for the birth of Jesus Christ. Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited to participate in the pageant as an angel or shepherd.
