The Chancel Choir is open to all who enjoy singing and sharing music with others. Our adult choir is a non-audition group seeking folks who want to share their voices in worship! A wide variety of musical abilities are welcome, and no experience is necessary. Our Chancel Choir rehearses every Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. during the school year in the Choir Room, located due south (behind) the Sanctuary below the Choir Loft.
The Chancel Choir also presents a variety of programs thought the year. If you have a desire to create music with others to share the glory of God, this is your place! Elevate is the modern worship community of FUMC Coppell. Every Sunday at 9:45 a.m. you can expect a casual atmosphere with relevant teaching, edgy music led by Elevate Band, heart-felt worship, prayer, and genuine community. This Wesley Ringers adult Handbell ensemble is looking for some new ringers! If you are a musician or a former musician and would like to use and share your musical gift, this is the group for you. Selah is used in the Bible in Psalms and Habakkuk and generally means “musical interlude.” Selah is FUMC’s instrumental wind, string, and percussion ensemble and is looking for players of all levels, interests, and expertise! The group is open to all musicians, grades 7 and above, and any adults with a background in instrumental music. All instruments are welcome and this is a non-audition group! We are ESPECIALLY looking for Middle and High School students to participate in this great area of worship!
Selah rehearses Sunday afternoons at 11:45 a.m. in the Sanctuary. The group plays monthly for Traditional worship service (including hymns, service music, choir accompaniments, and orchestral features) and also plays for special services including Patriotic and Christmas Pops Concerts. Members also are encouraged to share their talents individually or in small ensembles to enhance worship.
