The Flame

Series:
Passage: Matthew 25:1-13
Service Type:

Appearing in Chapter 25, the parable of the ten bridesmaids falls within a section of Matthew known as “eschatological discourse,” a section of the story concerned with final events of history, the destiny of humanity, and God’s role in it all. This parable is one of the last things Jesus tells the disciples before crucifixion, and it is surrounded by other stories that talk about what the Kingdom of Heaven is like.
